PORTLAND, Ore. — The eyes of the world are on Alaska, where President Trump met with Russia’s President Putin to discuss a potential end to the war in Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says his country is counting on America.
Ahead of Friday’s summit in Alaska, KATU’s Jessi Satin spoke with Yulia Brockdorf, the co-founder and president of DAWN, a non-profit that provides humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
Brockdorf said she has “a lot of hope and a lot of concern, because for Ukraine it’s not just a land swap. It’s not only soil, it the future of our people.”
