In partnership with DAWN Inc and Ukraine Immigration Task Force, Oregon’s Ukraine Response Community is convening a briefing for agencies and service organizations that support Ukrainian refugees and immigrants across the United States.
Our speaker is Anne Smith, Esq., Executive Director and Regulatory Counsel of the Ukraine Immigration Task Force, a nonprofit legal coalition of nearly 250 attorneys assisting Ukrainians seeking refuge in the U.S. Founded in 2022, the Task Force publishes legal guidance, supports practitioners, consults nonprofits, and advocates to preserve protection pathways for those who cannot return home at this time.
Anne has also held positions in government and private practice, with expertise spanning regulatory compliance, civil rights, and employment law. She holds degrees from Georgetown University and the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law, and is affiliated with the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Federal Bar Association, and the Amica Center for Immigrant Rights.
This briefing is designed for agency directors, case managers, legal staff, and service providers working with Ukrainian communities.
