Hawthorne 5th Annual International Day of Peace Celebration

September 16, 2023

It was an incredible experience to take part in the Hawthorne 5th annual International Day of Peace Celebration in Portland on Thursday! Huge thanks to Darka Dusty, Roger Jones, and Heather Flint Chatto for extending a warm welcome to DAWN Inc to be a part of this wonderful cultural event!
In today’s world, it’s more crucial than ever to shine a spotlight on the peaceful nation of #ukraine, which is courageously defending not only its own peace but also the human rights of people across the globe. Ukraine has taken a sincere step towards peace by participating in nuclear disarmament efforts, placing trust in our partners to uphold their promises of defending Ukraine’s territorial integrity. This moment is a critical one for global peace, and it’s imperative that the world stands in solidarity with Ukraine, which acts as a shield of peace for nations around the world.
In collaboration with the United Nations Association of Portland, we hold an annual Day of Peace Gathering every September. This event serves as a platform to engage our community and honor our international commitments to fostering peace, promoting compassionate care, and building sustainable societies worldwide. 🌍#InternationalDayOfPeace #PeaceForUkraine #UNAPDX #StandWithUkraine
